First Week of Class
Monday:
We planned to work out before class, but accidentally slept in a little too late! So we got up, made lunch, did the dishes, and caught up on some emails! Then we left to catch the bus! After we got to school and found our classrooms, I went to my class and Taylor went to hers. Mine was entirely in Spanish and was extremely interesting, but the advanced vocabulary was a bit too difficult so I think I am going to try to switch into the English version of Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions. Tay LOVED her first class and her teacher! Our second class was great too! Sales and Marketing. And all of our classes are mixed with both International Students as well as Spanish locals.
Tuesday:
We woke up extra early to make it to our 9 o'clock class! And left our house around 7:45, after a 20 minute ride on the Metro, we missed our bus!! We watched it drive away just as we walked up. That was no fun, so we hopped in an Uber and made it to class on time! Intercultural Management seems interesting, but our Professor is a nut, super weird, but hopefully intelligent.
We have a four hour break in between classes on Tuesdays, so we decided to go home and see how much time we had. Unfortunately we didn't have enough time to go to the gym, so we just made ourselves lunch and took a power nap!
After giving ourselves what we thought was plenty of time to make our second bus to school for our 5 o'clock class, we found ourselves SPRINTING across the city to make the bus. This time, luckily, we did make it! BARELY! I think we hopefully learned our lesson after this crazy bus day. And unfortunately when we got back to school, our teacher didn't show up for class, so we made all of that effort for nothing!
After school we went to one REALLY COOL, cheap store called PULL&BEAR, and bought a few things, and then went to San Miguel for Tapa Tuesday. Taylor and I split a mini pizza and a ham and cheese pastry, with a glass of wine. We then took our long walk home, stopped at a bakery, and then watched Bachelor!
Wednesday:
Today we slept in a bit, went to the gym, came home to make lunch, and are about to head to class! I am wearing makeup to class for the first time, because I have an interview afterwards, these people aren't going to recognize me!
And then we all went to our normal sport "El Tigre" to grab drinks. I dropped a coin on the ground, and went to pick it up...my pants ripped in half, so the night ended earlier than planned!
Adios,
Madison
