First Week of Class

Monday: We planned to work out before class, but accidentally slept in a little too late! So we got up, made lunch, did the dishes, and caught up on some emails! Then we left to catch the bus! After we got to school and found our classrooms, I went to my class and Taylor went to hers. Mine was entirely in Spanish and was extremely interesting, but the advanced vocabulary was a bit too difficult so I think I am going to try to switch into the English version of Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions. Tay LOVED her first class and her teacher! Our second class was great too! Sales and Marketing. And all of our classes are mixed with both International Students as well as Spanish locals. Tuesday: We woke up extra early to make it to our 9 o'clock class! And left our house around 7:45, after a 20 minute ride on the Metro, we missed our bus!! We watched it drive away just as we walked up.  That was no fun, so we hopped in an Uber and made it to class on time! Intercultural Management ...

Segovia!

Off we went on a one night getaway to Segovia, Spain.... but first, we missed our train! All four of us (Kenley, Maggie, Taylor, and I) had the time 10:45 in our heads. Turns out our train was actually at 10:15. Not sure why none of us thought to double check the time on our ticket, but you win some, you lose some. Today we lost 10euro to buy a second train ticket! Not making this mistake again!  We boarded our 30 minute train ride and were on our way. After about 5 minutes in an underground tunnel, we went from rainy, cold Madrid, to a beautiful snowy mountain wonderland (for 2 minutes) and then back under a tunnel until we finally landed in rainy, cold Segovia. The train ride seemed like we were in Narnia, or time traveling. It was crazy to see two completely different climates in a matter of minutes.  We immediately got of our train, boarded the public bus and arrived in Segovia...a quaint Spanish town with a population of 59,000. All four of us were hungry so stopped ...

SPAIN!!!

Hello! After an empty nine hour Delta flight, we have arrived in Spain! We took a taxi to our new apartment and then struggled up five flights of stairs with all of our luggage. WE LOVE OUR NEW HOME! Absolutely perfect space, so cozy and clean! After scoping out our teeny apartment, we took a long long nap! We had a crazy weekend before our long flight (Hawks game, cousins, Birthday, Falcon's game, Trump) and needed some rest. Once we finally woke up, we Ubered to the "Target" of Spain. Carrefour had everything we needed. Wash cloths were hard to find, but we found something that will work! And we had no idea we needed to weigh our produce with the produce man before going to the check out line...live and learn. And also, the checkout girl thought we were crazy when we asked for plastic bags! I guess we will be bringing our own bag from now on. So we quickly stocked up on all of our essentials and headed back to the apartment to eat and unpack! Next we ate a little ...
