Friday:    Our bus headed out at 130am! We had a 5 hour journey, but to our surprise it included WIFI and TVs with What Happens in Vegas as our English option... but we pretty much slept the whole way. We arrived to Granada and waited outside the only cafe that opened at 7am. We ate a delicious traditional English breakfast and then headed to our next bus at 815am, where we would join our tour company for the weekend "We Love Spain". We had a 2 hour ride to Malaga and then another 2 hours to Cadiz. We met some friends, a girl who was an Au pair in Belgium and one that was teaching kids english in Spain. At 1230 we boarded our bus to Gibraltar, an English territory in the South of Spain. We got to explore St. Michael's Caves, play with the wild monkeys, see the beauty of Europa point, and enjoy a delicious and scenic meal in the square. We hopped back on our bus and headed to Algeciras, Spain where the ferry left from. After an hour ferry ride, we then ho...

School, drink, school, drink

Another week of school in Madrid! Monday: Connor "Ciroc Boy" Melhorn, our friend from USC, is in town which clearly means drinks on a Monday. So we hit one of our favorite spots that we went to on our very first night in Madrid. San Ildelfonso is just right around the corner from our apartment and is a very cool environment for drinks! Wine, mojitos, and beer was flowing, and we stayed until they closed. Successful Monday night, however I didn't think so when I woke up at 7am Tuesday morning for class. Tuesday: Our later class was cancelled! So we came home early and enjoyed some free time to of course....nap. We woke up, worked out, and were off to "Tapa Tuesday." Our favorite day of the week. Basically a great excuse to go get great food and drinks with our crew.  This was definitely our favorite one yet. We went to La Pajarita and enjoyed delicious tapas, fried potatoes dipped in eggs and popped corn, quesadillas, and fresh edamame hummus! Re...

50 Shades of Madrid!!!

OUR FIRST FULL WEEK IN OUR NEW HOME!!!!! We arrived at 6am Monday morning from Dublin EXHAUSTED with class at 3pm! We survived... barely... ate a quick dinner and off to sleep we went! Tuesday: Celebrating Galentines day in Madrid consisted of a nice Mexican meal at La Mordida and a viewing of 50 Shades Darker. To top it off we ended the night with Green Tea Gelato from our new favorite local place Mistura! Thursday: KAPITAL... the darkest shade of Madrid! Or the brightest depending on how you look at it! Thursday night was Anti-Valentine party at Kapital, one of the largest night clubs in Europe, towering 7 stories high! We finished our day with a nice work out and delicious fresh juice at _____. They go into the market and freshly cut the fruits and juice them right in front of you! After a quick summer internship interview with my new boss, and our usual drinks and croquettes at El Tigre, we were off to a free night at Kapital, which is unheard of! It's normally an $...

Cheers to Dublin!

Wow, we had an absolute blast this weekend! Here is exactly what we did: Thursday: We arrived very late after a delayed flight. Our friends Kenley and Maggie arrived earlier in the day and had already checked in to our AirBnB. So as soon as we landed we texted them and were on our way to our room.  After 30 minutes of no response, we knew something was up! Upon our arrival to our apartment, we found a locked gate and no security guard present. Two boys walked up and tried calling the help number but received no answer. We decided to go inside, warm up, and figure out what to do. So we walked across the street to The Dean Dublin to try and grab an Irish Coffee, but by this hour, they were only serving hotel guests. We gathered ourselves for a bit, tried calling the Apartment owner, no answer, tried calling Kenley and Maggie 1000 times, no answer, and eventually walked back to the gate hoping for a miracle. By this point we considered buying a room at the Dean, and many other opt...

Short Week!

After a fantastic weekend in Prague, we are back to normal life (for now). We arrived home (in Madrid) early Sunday, and went to buy groceries for this week. We stumbled upon a really hip grain store, with giant crates of all types of lentils, cous-cous, fresh pastas, beans, spices, and even chocolate! You just grab a bag and fill it up, and they weigh it at the front, just like a candy store! So we bought some lentils (and chocolate) for the week, and the cashier loves us, so we will definitely be back! Tuesday we finally secured our class registration, and are only taking 10.5 hours! YAY! Luckily, we are very ahead, so still only have to take 12 hours both semesters next year. Looks like senior year is shaping up to be the best one yet! Our Schedule in Madrid: (yes dad, we do go to class) Mondays: Integrated Communication in Business 3:00-5:00 Sales and Marketing Management II 5:00-7:00 Tuesdays: Intercultural Management 9:00-11:00 Mergers and Acquisitions 3:00-5:00 ...

Prague!!!

Day 1 We woke up early for our 9am class and then quickly scurried home because we are HEADED TO PRAGUE! After a few delays we made it to Prague and had a driver awaiting us, set up by our air bnb host! We made it to Charles Square and it was covered in snow! Our air bnb was right in the square and HUGE it comfortably slept all nine of us (Madison, Maggie, Kenley, Kara, Maddie, Harris, John, Tatum, and I)... all USC peeps. We dropped our stuff and hit the streets of Prague to find a traditional dinner spot. We didn't get the warmest of welcomings in most places. Also, apparently reservations are a thing in Prague. FINALLY, we found a place that would accept us! We ordered fried cheese, sausage, beef goulash, and beer of course... all traditional Czech food. We we're not prepared for the Czech currency, so we left our tip in Euro and US dollars and ran out of there. Then we headed to U SUDU, a bunker bar, to meet up with some other USC friends. The bar was super cool, but SUPER...
